Sound Solace Sound Isolation Clip creates a high STC (Sound Transmission Classification) rating for your wall or ceiling assembly and offers an economical method to “float” your walls or ceilings. These isolation clips are used for vibration control of structure-borne noise and help build assemblies that will more effectively block airborne noise transmission. For higher rated sound blocking applications with improved STC ratings, use isolation clips in combination with Tec sound Barrier/Acoustiblock and any type of Mass Loaded Vinyl / Sound barrier available in market. 

Sound Isolation and Vibration treatment on walls:

Sound and vibration isolation of all the side walls to be done as marked in the drawing, before doing the acoustic treatment.

Material for sound isolation shall be Mass Loaded Vinyl based rubber sheet with minimum density of 240 g/cm2 (2500 Kg/ Cub Mtr). The material shall be free for lead, Bitumen or unrefined aromatic oils. The isolation material shall have fire performance such that its burn rate is <100mm per min and also it should be self-extinguishing type. The Mean sound reduction (Rw) of the material shall be >22db, >25db and >28db, respectively for 2mm, 3mm and 4mm thicknesses. The thickness of the material shall be defined as per individual applications. 

 

Application Procedure:

·        Neoprene based sound isolation clips shall be fixed on the existing wall with help of screw fasteners at a distance of 600mm x 600mm

·        GI furring channel of 0.55mm thick x 80mm top width x 50mm bottom width x 25mm depth shall be installed on the isolation clips as shown below:-
